yes the bottle is very expensive


most bars work on a 20% to 25% liquor cost.

per ounce is 8.36


that's $33.44 a drink at 25%


liquor tax is 10% and gst is 5%


with tax i got $38.45


now if you were in america you got burned.|||Only you can answer that since you drank it and not us.





In fact I would argue that by definition you at least thought it was worth trying since that's exactly what you did.





Personally I would say that no alcohol is ever worth that since at the end of the day it all ends up in the same place.....but you yell us.|||Ole man nailed it|||Brandy snobs would say no,,,for 40USD you could by 8 bottles of brandy Los Reyes, a Mexican brand which is quite good. As a non snob, I'd say 40 for a shot of xo is craziness.|||Only you can judge that, since you paid the price and drank the shot. The worst I had for being overcharged was in the Hilton Hotel at the NEC in Birmingham (UK), where I was charged 拢12 (approx $24) for a vodka and tonic- and it was just plain old Smirnoff. A bottle in the UK costs about 拢10!
