Does champagne cognac go bad?

I have a jerebaum [SP?] of remy martin from when my father was in WWII - it has not been stored on it's side.|||Wow, that's amazing.

Honestly, I don't think spirits ever go "bad". The only thing that can happen is that they don't taste good anymore. At any rate if I were you I'd try it out and if it tastes horrible, it's too bad, otherwise you'll enjoy a great sip of ancient cognac goodness. Either way, I don't think it'll harm you.|||Actually, this should be really, really, really good if stored properly (No air got to it). I would even price it out. (You might want to sell it instead of drink it). Good for you!
